The study of economics helps people understand the world around them. It enables people to understand people, businesses, markets and governments, and therefore better respond to the threats and opportunities that emerge when things change.
Economics affects our daily lives in both obvious and subtle ways. From an individual perspective, economics frames many choices we have to make about work, leisure, consumption and how much to save. Our lives are also influenced by macro-economic trends, such as inflation, interest rates and economic growth.

The department has highly qualified and well experienced teachers since its inception. Sri B.Srinivasa Rao, Sri A.Venkateswara Rao, Sri N.Satyanarayana, Sri V.Ramesh, Sri S.Veerabhadhra Rao, Dr. M.Ramesh worked in this department. Sri K.Venkata Naga Raju is the First member of the Department since 2016. Sri M.Jaya Prakash Narayana is the other member of this department. Sri M.Jaya Prakash Narayan received the “BEST TEACHER” award (2012-2013) & “Dedicated Staff” award(2011-2012). Sri K.Venkata Naga Raju received the award “Dedicated Staff” for not availing any kind of leave for the years 2018, 2019. He received the same award for the calendar year 2022-2023 from Secretary, SAGATE, Sri P.Lakshmana Rao garu on the occasion of 47th College day Celebrations on 09-03-2023.
